Hello everyone, I really need help here and I hope someone here met the same problem. I own a Proton Waja (4g18 engine) and I'm having a problem that have making me scratch my head for awhile now. The problem starts when I'm driving the car, it would suddenly choke a lot and RPM starts dropping. The check engine light would appear, so what I did was I bring my car to the workshop and had it checked.
The mechanics used the diagnostic software to check the problem, it appears to indicate the problem was the plug ignition coil as I earlier suspect. So I get it replaced with original spare parts. So everything seems fine after that until a week or so later.
It did not end there, the choke and the light appear a week after the replacement had been done. The procedure have been repeated for 4-5 months, I replaced the ignition coil , spark plugs and plug wires as well. The longest ignition coil lasted was for a month and others mostly for a week. I went to different workshops/mechanics and replace with different brands of spare parts ( most of it is original ).
I really need help here and I would really appreciate for helps. It has been totally disaster period for me.

Looks like it is shorting because the ignition coil cannot be breaking down every time. Have you tried sending back to Proton service center?

Yea, that's what makes everything so complicated and confusing. I do wish to send it to Proton service center but now I have a little bit of financial issue so I hope I can solve it without spending too much. Thanks for your opinion anyways !

Symptom
Low rpm (<2k rpm) n accelerate, engine rpm will drop n no power, rpm can't climb up. After rpm reach > 2.5krpm them everything back to normal
So actual problem is the spark plug installation not good cause I change it during 1st service, the symptom better but still got little power lag
Then after 2nd service (change spark plug)
It gone for good
Before that mechanic suggest to change the ignition coil which cause rmxxxx!
So it just normal maintenance only
