The speedometer on my 1996 old timer Iswara has been making
a soft ''tak-tak-tak'' clicking sound occasionaly when moving recently,

especially at lower speeds, but seems to be quiet at other times,

higher speeds as well.

The needle itself has been wobbling for some years, again at lower speeds
initially, but now at higher speeds up to 60 or 70 km/h as well.

I've been told this is usually due to the cable lengthening over time,
or maybe lack of lubrication.

As a stop-gap, I've been thinking of disconnecting its socket from the
rear meter panel, and and spraying some silicone onto it.

Might this possibly help ?

No harm trying, but if possible may need a thicker oil

Gti don't have speedometer cable, am I right?
My speedometer will stuck when cold start the car. After some driving (could range from few meter to few Km), then it back to normal. What issue is that?
