Hi All,

Just received an old iswara, manual version, from my sister as spare car.  As she perform the periodic maintenance with due deligent, no major issue with it.  After 15 years with 280K km on the odormeter, I bring it for a lube change for 10/40 semi syn , local brand lube and the car is running smoother than before !

Question: Mechanic suggest a carburator full service buy dismantling and make a full clean up due to one of the water jacket connected to it is corroded.   I am not sure if this "dismanlting job" is indeed required or just the water jacke change will do.

Water jacket is on the engine, why he want to touch the carb? For me, nothing is wrong with the carb, just leave it. Service only when have problem, especially like when it starts to leak, that is main carb problem. Just make sure you change the fuel filter.....
