After trying out these 2 products after asking for some suggestions here for a long lasting sealant earlier, I found out a few things that might be helpful for anyone who is trying them out for the first time. I bought the fk-1000p from lyn garage sales, BSD from their local outlet.

The fk-1000p spreads easy but is difficult to buff off unless it is applied thinly. It helps to use less pressure to spread it around otherwise there will be uneven areas. And it requires at least 10mins to properly haze, but its better to leave it for longer just in case. Buffing is not the easiest after following those basic precautions but its still fairly easy. If its difficult, then something is being done wrongly.

To pick up less product initially when the pad is dry, I just soak the applicator pad in water and squeeze it dry by hand beforehand to make it easier to spread the product thinly, a water spray bottle can also be used. Theres conflicting info on how long to let it cure before applying a 2nd layer (immediately after buffing vs 24hrs).

BSD is a easy wipe on sealant, it seems easy to waste the product if it is soaked up by the microfibre cloth instead of being spread on the paint. There are complaints about the sprayer/nozzle (not but I think it was intentional by Sonax. It wasn't meant to be a fine mist spray bottle because the product is thick. I squeeze out a stream in a line and spread out the sealant using a small portion of a mf cloth.

BSD does not feel smooth or slick after application like most other lsps including fk-1000p which makes me wonder if it will
trap dirt/dust and I will be checking that in future. I've put BSD on the rear doors to compare it against the front door panels to see how well it lasts and how much dirt is accumulated for BSD/fk-1000p.

Its been a while for an update but Sonax BSD seems to trap more dirt than I would like for a car parked outdoors compared to FK1000p.

Does anyone know if Duragloss products are still available through their local distributor? I remembered they had a storefront somewhere in PJ but their facebook hasn't been updated for years and their webstore is offline.

I think Malaysia distributor no more. You can try contact Mad Detailer of Duragloss Singapore. He is the master distributor for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia
