what car are you driving right now?

If you are driving a Jap car, do note that maintaining an A5 will be much higher.

A5 has known oil consumption issues. Engine oil top up is expected monthly with 2000km mileage

And do ensure that the radiator of your a5 is Malaysian-ised for our hot weather. if not, your car will overheat.

Make sure when you service your car, use the best oils available. A5 engine may have sludging issues if you scrimped on oil.

DSG servicing is pricey as well. but one hellava gearbox is maintained properly.

If you are planning to buy a grey import A5, you cannot send it for repairs at Audi Service Center especialy at Glenmarie as they won't do major repair for grey import cars. Service they will do, but they will charge higher labour for service. It will cost a bomb. If you need parts, you can call Quattro Autohaus Sdn Bhd at 03-56136996. They provide original Audi and VW parts smile.gif

So far, in my experience working at Audi, there are not many issues of engine oil consumption for A5. Oil consumption in a Q5 is well-known and in the end, overhaul needs to be done. A5 is one good car and i can ensure you that there won't be as much problems as other models.
