Hi Folks,

Just checking is there any workshop around Klang Valley you can recommend as my friend just accidentally got her Forte's rear to the pickup truck...

The objective is to restore all these back to as somewhere perfect as possible and of course with minimal cost (as possible)..

Wonder if repainting can be avoided by just "ketuk".... as afraid of "not-balanced paint"

Nope, to me damage is too great. For the "ketuk" you posted is for small dimples and knock only. The picture you posted even the curve area has been damaged out of shape. Needs knocking, putty and respray. Best to spray whole cover minus the top part, means whole area behind number plate. This will give the area better color coverage. Can check with Forte SC if they do knock and respray service. If they do can send to them too but may be a bit more expensive but at least color will be closer...

Uhh then is really too bad...
Checking the tail lamp in SC costs RM280 exclude labour.. I think still not too bad...

Anyway, should advise her to go SC also...

Is the tail lamp broken? From pic looks ok....
I mention SC because you wanted the colour as close as possible. Still won't be 100% as the batch of paint could be different but at least they have original color rather then some shop they do color mix...

Yeah broken..

You can notice the part beside the "signal lamp".... transparent plastic ....
there is small part of plastic broken off...

Else I think extra RM300 could be saved...

My friend just called KIA and they quoted RM450-500 for the bodyworks....

I guess total damage would be RM800+-

Now you mentioned it, yes saw the middle piece broken off. Could not tell because there are two panels that are clear plastic too. Well with parts, spray and labour will be quite costly. My wife's SUV corner piece of bumper just putty and respray already RM220. Not whole bumper but just the corner piece.

Just a minor bump and you lose this much of cash...

Will meet my friend and repost the picture here once she fix this... hopefully the quality is near-original or best can't see difference at all...
