Hi All,

Any advise on how to remove the glue residue after peeling off an old window tint? The residue seems to be quite difficult to remove, does not seem to come off by just using soapy water.

May need some stronger stuff like petrol, thinner. Maybe can check with the tint shop...

i have read that using heat such as steaming iron or hair dryer could soften the glue but i haven't try it myself unsure.gif

Soften but may not come off, right? Probably may need some solvent to clean/wipe them off

You can use Waxco Tinted Glue Off to wash the residue off.

Wow! Waxco also come out with that product? How many will use as most of us will re-tint, then the shop will remove for you. Unless we remove our-self and not doing re-tint..... smile_tongue.gif

Spray with soapy water, use a sharp razor blade and scrap the adhesive from side to side. I tried and it works perfectly without scratches on the glass.

Google it up on you tube, you will get some clues.

Seeking for professional assistance when it comes to windows tinting is the highly recommended step to take if you are having problems with removing the tinting by yourself.
