Hi,
I am a new owner of Polo Sedan. Picked up my car last October. Everything was well except for a broken engine mounting.
So I sent my car in on April 8th to replace the mounting and also do up the first service (13,000KM). To my surprise, after the service, the car started developing pretty serious lifter/tappet noise. It only comes out when the throttle is depressed and it disappears between gear change. I went back to the service centre in Glamarie and the tester said everything is good, except maybe the new engine oil is too thin.
I request to check the tuning but they said nothing can be tune.
I am sure there is a clearance setting for the lifter that can be adjust right?
the engine oil is 5w-40... and the sound is driving me nuts...
hope to get some input on this issue here.
thanks
Ben
