My Focus MK2 4 speed torque convertor have the same grinding sound when slow stop at traffic light or hump. During that time, Ford conclude is charactheristic of the gearbox.
5 years later and 100k km, no issue and sound still there

Just did my first service. Had the jerky gearbox problem. The service center now has the updated software based on the ford buletin that was issued not long ago to address this problem. So far there is improvements. Almost no rattling and juddering. Only sometimes but much much less in intensity.
