The Golf 7 TDI is still a no go. The reason why the Touareg TDI is launched is because it's a Euro III engine. Golf TDI is Euro V, ready to step up to Euro VI even.
I had the chance to try the Golf 7 in 1.4 TSI and 2.0 TDI guises during the media drive in Sardinia last month. The 2.0 TDI 6 M/T had more than enough torque to pull briskly out of corners even in 4th gear.
Overall, however, the 1.4 TSI felt nimbler and more satisfying to drive, possibly due to the petrol engine being lighter giving the vehicle a better weight balance.

but doubt the blue motion will be fully utilised, cos when you drive this car to run at this speed and driving mode is very tiring when the car is pushing and screaming at you make it to go a little faster and faster....
The cylinder deactivation feature was present in the Golf 7 TSI units that I tested in the media drive, but I've been told the feature won't make it to Malaysia. Quite an impressive system, I must say. The shut-off is imperceptible, and without the screen on the instrument panel indicating as such, one will find it very difficult to tell if the system is in operation or not.

He did not mentioned the price or which spec (either normal model or xtra 10HP model). This model running on timingbelt, hence another cost to incur.
Not sure this model has solve the DSG issue or not.

Wow! Is this RM199k for the non-performance pack version with manual transmission. If yes, then can count me in. I have driven slush box, cvt and dsg, and they do not satisfy me like a good ol' stick shift.

Hi Sam, VW Msia shud consider bringing the manual version for all model....the dsg esp the dry clutch are really scaring off most buyer and some does not mind the stick shift. I'm dumping off both my dsg7 vw, will only return in the future if there's a manual option. scared already
