The website (http://www.autoworld.com.my) was officially launched on the 9th of November 1999, by the Minister of Energy, Communication & Multimedia, YB Datuk Amar Leo Moggie.

We partner with only the top quality speakers/instructors who have a proven track of records and proper certification to deliver and consult their expertise and experience. Autoworld also looks for ways to reward their members by organising these events/activities on giving our members an opportunity to learn more from the expert and network with the people with the same interests.
Introduction:
It has been proven in developed countries that drivers who attended Defensive Driving Course (DDC) can reduce accident rates by as much as 80%. It is suitable for all drivers from 'P' plate up to 80 years old.

"Autoworld Safety and Defensive Driving Course" is a driving skill that protects you from getting involved in road accidents and becoming another accident statistic.

Aims (Purpose):-

To improve participants’ level of confidence and awareness in driving and skills that are needed for emergency purposes.
To promote the understanding of defensive driving principles.
To apply defensive driving principles in our daily driving.

Learning Outcomes:-

Able to identify driving errors that could lead to road accidents.
Able to improve in overall level of driving confidence and to plan ahead.
Able to demonstrate the ability of car control with needed skill to deal with emergency situations.

Driver Requirements:-
Drivers must have a valid driving licence.

Chief Instructor:
Kenvin Low is the chief instructor Asia Advanced Driving Academy Sdn Bhd, with a teaching career spanning over ten years, having coached classes in defensive driving, advanced driving and also motor racing. In addition, he also has a wealth of experience serving as the official safety car & medical car driver for the Sepang International Circuit since the year 2000.

His competitive experience is just as extensive, having raced in Group N Best of Malaysia Championship (1996), the Proton Merdeka Race 300km (1998 & 1999), the Merdeka Millenium Endurance (2000 – 2005, 2007) and the Malaysian Super Series (2006 & 2007), before serving as team manager for Red Bull Rookies in the 2008 edition of the Merdeka Millenium Endurance race of which he is a veteran.

Kenvin also happens to be a very accomplished stunt and demo driver. He drove in car stunt shows at Bukit Jalil in 1999 and then at Johor Circuit in 2004. A couple of TV commercials featured his driving too, an ad for the Goodyear Eagle F1 (1997) and then another for Korean audiences featuring the Daewoo Lacetti.

Manufacturers regularly recruit Kenvin to be the demo driver showcasing the abilities of their cars during launch events. Subaru employed his services no less than three times in 2002 – 2003, while Mercedes-Benz twice flew him to China for demonstrations of the new S350.

He was personally trained by professional Le Mans Race Driver Dr Kiichi Takahashi to drive the JGTC (Super GT) Safety Car & FRO Car in 2002. In the same year, Carlos Partola trained him to drive the Safety Car for MotoGP events. Other qualifications include the BTEC Diploma in Advanced Driving Instruction, UK (2007) and RoSPA National Diploma in Advanced Driving Instruction, UK (2007).

3. What are the other conditions governing the registration policy and procedure?

a. Change of course date, facilitator and venue.
- Autoworld reserves the right to make alternative arrangements for the above without prior notification, should it be necessary to do so in your interests.
- Autoworld shall not be responsible for any extra expenses incurred by you as a result of an alternative arrangement made thereby.

b. Change of course fee.
- Autoworld reserves the right to alter the course fees without prior notification.
- Autoworld shall not demand the increase of fees from you if you have been accepted (with fees fully paid) for a particular course.
- Correspondingly, no demand for refund of fees already paid will be entertained.

4. Can I transfer, substitute or withdraw after registration?

Substitution
If you are unable to attend, a substitute delegate is allowed at no extra charge. Please provide the name and the title of the substitute delegate at least one (1) week prior to the course.

Withdrawal
Fees paid are strictly non refundable, however replacements and representatives are allowed upon notification in writing to the organizer at least one (1) week prior to the course.
