Well, for me, that's the expected price. As what being reported in paultan and autoworld, the quality is the almost the same as CBU. But, I noticed that the air-con is different.
If given the opportunity, will choose the P over 508.
Let's wait if there is any discount at year end 2011. Ha..........

Not much difference. I would rather have the CBU model & pay the difference. Once it is loaded into the loan, it's negligible. But of course this is my personal opinion - don't shoot me.
Would like to know how is the quality like. Our CKD quality is always an issue by looking at other marques that has CKD facilities here. Hopefully VW has better QC for the betterment of us VW fans here.

T and H sales people may probably say spare parts is expensively, blah blah blah in their last ditch effort to win some sales .... the only thing that T & H have it going is ex stock whereas as interest picks up on the Passat, new owners may have to wait a few months for their cars.

This is my personal account of my experience when dealing with T, H and N sales personnels. they do not sell their respective cars. They just condemned other made of cars be it Continentals or Koreans. That's all they do to put fear into our tiny mind so that we shy away from buying anything that's not japanese. Sad isn't it ? But, that's the truth to be told here. Their product knowledge is almost non existence most of the time when I ask question. You buy you die.

I'll have to pay a visit to the VW dealership and have a proper look at the Passat. If you are willing to spend RM175k on a car, you have a lot of good choices. The 2.5 Mazda 6 is a beauty. The 2.5 Teana is very well kitted out too. You can't beat the Camry or Accord on resale value and their 2.4 versions are impressive. The Passat just adds to the choice in a segment that's got a lot of good choices.
