Hi all,
I am from Sri Lanka and really enjoyed this thread. I have been using the acyon 2 (here it is called as Korando C) now for three months. Its a Brand new vehicle AWD version. Though I bought it few months ago, its a 2011 version CKD assembled in Sri Lanka.
I am a basically a city runner, and once in a while drive a long run. Up to now, I have driven 4000 km and the vehicle doing fine so far. But, I felt a small jerk (very rarely) when the auto box shifts from the gear 1 to 2. I noticed that this become more evident after a high speed highway drive. However, I did not complain about this to the agent. Probably, as you all suggested a software update may resolve this problem.
The FC: urban 11 l/100 km, long distance I am getting 8 l/100 km. The DPF removal it still not available in sri lanka but i think it will be of really necessity since the quality of fuel in here is worst than that in Malaysia.
Guys, is there a way to find out the software version of the vehicle?
regards
udaya

Hi all,
Just had my first "B" service at 15K. Just for info, I am using the TOTAL INEO ECS Quartz 5W-30 engine oil. Pretty good, got it at I think $80 per 5L.
Anyway, also updated the ECU at the service centre. Improved the turbo lag, not so much noticeable, also smoother acceleration. Overall happy with it.
I still can manage 7.3L/100km on open road. In city, it is around 10L/100km. So pretty much to the specs.
No other issues, some squeaking but not a biggie for me. Thinking of towing a caravan in summer so will feedback how it ride.
Any questions, just ask.

Yours 2WD or AWD. Mine is AWD.
NZ, a beautiful country. Will be there for a wedding in early Dec. BTW, any uprated coil springs available? I find the springs sagged after 40k km. Also front a little soft. At the rear I fitted an uprated anti-roll bar from Ultra Racing. Only RM430 or NZ$160 inclusive of labour. Great improvement and rear end feels solid although the sagged springs made it look lowered.

Dear All,
Do you have any idea about the origin of the e-xdi engine that is used in Korando.
Has it solely developed by ssangyong Korea or developed with a technical collaboration with another country?. I know, the technology for the xdi engines (used for kyrons and actyons) are sourced from MB.

You are correct, bit of web browsing revealed that it is manufactured with the technical collaboration of AVL Austria. I am wondering about the long term availability of spare parts?
