hey guys,

may give me some opinion, wanna buy a pick up. but dont know which one is better.. have to choose either hilux or navara.. had take a look of hilux, it's a nice 4x4..but navara also nice..from the navara users, they said navara is much better then hilux..

yup, hilux look like more tough, but actually their size almost same..navaras cabin have axtra space than hilux..

in term of performance, navara win
in term of durability, hilux win.

My family relatives got around 10-12 hilux, some is using for off road(really off-road, silver color can become dark chocolate), some is for urban town use... Until now, none of it got major problem in term of engine or gb issue.

For frontier, engine 3rd piston bearing and crank shaft is the design defect, 8 out of 10 frontier will kena this and will end up few k to fix. My father kena around 4k++ to repair this shit, lucky he get tow car to tow his truck when find out something wrong, if not will cost more. My neighbour kena for 7k to fix this...

For ranger, it is more on GB issue.

For navara, one of my uncle is using it.... so far no problem since it is new. Since we have bad experience for nissan 4x4 pickup truck alr, i advise my father take the new facelift hilux. But you check on mudah.com, quite a lot navara is selling even it is quite new(08,09 year). My frenz (ex-frontier owner- is a mechanic) told me that engine navara wont like frontier case alr, he advise me to get navara, but he choose triton and not dare to choose navara.

FYI, currently hilux is really out of stock... 2.5 version need to wait around 3-4 months, 3.0 version need to wait for 7 months. Lucky last month, I able get a ready stock unit 2.5 auto version ... I have drove several time, since it is auto, performance is not good as previous frontier... but in term of NVH n comfortable, it is far better than frontier, new car mah...

Actually this is for my wife..I'm not so interested in 4 wheel,..coz im more too rempit..haha..i hve my own sbike..so im not too expert with 4 wheel..juz im attract to hilux, jd rekemen la hilux pd wife..but shes already booked navara..(booking diam2) haha..next year can get the nvra..juz want some opinion from expertise of this kind of vehicle..

Both are equally match! But I like the way Nissan designed the exterior of the Navarra it has this mean muscular look on the outside and the rake is just perfect for off-roading.
