Fellow classic enthusiast,
I am new to classic car but intend to get one soon ( a Mini Classic) but i am confused over a few things :
1) Some car on sale are "without car card / geran". How is it possible to get it then, and normally how much? Why would people sell a car without car card and cannot be driven OTR.
2) Some sellers kept telling me to sort out "sijil B5" what is it ?
3) Qualify for "Classic" category under JPJ - what are the benefits ?
Thanks for any response.

If your car meets JPJ's requirement, you will get a rebate from your road tax but for the Mini the road tax is very cheap and you may get lots grief from JPJ when you apply for rebate. The car condition must be really good, like no rust.
Have wheels will ride, beats walking.

Here's a link to JPJ requirements on Vintage Car status & procedure too..
I found this page while doing my own engine change registration recently.
and i've written my experiences with Puspakom & JPJ & Insurance in my blog (too long to post here).
They give allowances on rdtax etc because parts are not easy to get for vintage cars (50yrs old) & classic cars (25yrsold)..
Good luck and have fun..
