Hi,
I'll need to buy a 7seater this later this year; and have been considering Honda Odyssey EVL or VW Sharan. I'd appreciate owners' feedback on their experience to date in general and specifically on any issues faced on the following:

• DSG gear & clutch
• Rattling sound from any parts
• Battery
• AC
• Spare tyre - how to manage without spare tyre
• Service / Support

It is a very good car with good NVH. Handling and power is absolutely up to standard.

So far no prob with DSG and Clutch. Minor rattling sound coming from rear most seat. Very very faint sound and only can hear if driving alone middle of the night with no music. Battery low last mth after 11 mths and claim a new one when do servicing in SC. No prob with AC. No spare tyre and bought another pump with tyre patch just in case. Service and support so far not bad.

If u enjoy driving and safety, this is the car to go with. Not bad at all compare to the rest of MPV in the market and very low profile car. Ppl dun even look and know what car it is..Just a normal van...

I was wandering why there's a couple of 2012 2nd hand unit with significant price drop (RM130k) on the market. Why such a big drop after 3 years? Any long term issues with Sharan?

M'sian's Sharan should be reliable since its using the same engine & gearbox as the Golf GTI. 2.0 liter turbo petrol & Wet Clutch DSG trans shud be safe & reliable. Very safe van with the ESP, curtain & all round airbags to keep ur family safe compared to recond Japs MPV.
