Firstly, public transport does not limit to bus.
Secondly, whether you take a public transport or not, they are still running on the road.
If you do not like public transport , then you can do it the old fasion way: walk or cycle.
For sure one less cars on the road will help to reduce the amount of green house generated.

Ok, sure public transport not limit to bus only. hmm... not sure have you been walking around town recently. I did and my face being cover by dust.

Agreed with you with less car will help in green but...

For some, it may seem like a challenging element to stay in a community where to "go green" is to go by the stylish thoughts and of community. However, to be able to get from one location to another, it may seem tougher than it is possible, due to the truth that transport in common can be something quite far from the "green" thoughts that activists are advising. How can you stability being the operator of a car, and still be able to say that you assistance those "green" thoughts.

American idea to ask the world to go green and green cos they are "green" ?, and really Malaysia is already too much green with oil palm and rubber trees and some virgin forest, It is not green enough? see how green are they in America - can be seen when you look out from the plane window when you are about to land in LA or NY. I dont think I will buy a green car, when I am using 2 diesel (already green engine) suvs and a few other new low emission cars.

I hate those people who say that electrical cars are green cars just because they dont use petrol. Do you ever stop and think who that energy is produced and who many coal plants have to work to satisfy our electrical needs ??

An electrical car will be green when the energy for that car will be produced by green metodes (wind , solar energy or other form of green energy) .

Today only people from Island (from what I know) can say that they are using all most green energy (geotermal energy).

So for all those people (celebreties in special), that are not living in Island biggrin.gif , stop saying your electrical car is eco frendly !!

I agree. Electricity cost equation shd include costs of raw material, byproducts and Cleaning up costs..for coal shd include mining, transport, infra & plants but also environment cleaning up costs.. for hydroelectricity shd consider ecosystems, beside plants costs... electricity itself already put strain on the environment to produce.. I saw waterfuel engine at Youtube..now that's something else.. biggrin.gif

saw the flwg circulating on the internet with pictures and not sure if you heard or saw it or any truth to that. The gists:

- 1996 was the first production of electric cars, the EV1 (Electric Vehicle 1) produced by XM and circulated in the streets of A. EV1 without tailpipe thus and go from 0-100 km/h in less than 9 seconds and chargeable with electrical energy in the garage. 10 years later the cars were gone. These car could only be rented not bought and the leases were not extended. XM reclaim all EV1 and scraped them.

- 1997 Xissan presented Hyper Mini electric cars in Xokyo. The congregation of the city of Xasadena chose this car as a vehicle for their officers. Easy to use and can be parked easily due to their size and very efficient in the city driving. Aug 2006, the lease from the cars between the Xasadena community and Xissan ranout. The community tried to buy the cars but Xissan said no and took them back for scraped.

- 2003 Xoyota decided to discontinue production of the RAV4-EV (Electrical Vehicle), 4WD and a high technoloy product and valued by its users since 1997. The recharging energy cost amounted to US$0.09 per kilowatt-hour. The complete charging of the vehicle is US$2.70. In 2005, the lease ran out and Xoyata hurried to retrieve all these vehicles. BUT then, some Xmericax began to organize themsleves and founded "Xon't Crusx" association and exerted pressure to xoyota for x months. They won and Xoyota finnaly supported and authorised those who had rented this car and wanted to buy them.

Nevertheless, the production of this model was discontinued and the EV-95 NiMH battery never recovered.

Why? in 2005, the Xhevron-Xexaco merger bought the patents of the battery for US$ XX Million and dismantled them.

- In June, the XX years old Xmericax activist Xeffrex Xuerx who was concrened with the preservation of forests had a sad experience and sentenced to xx years in prison because he has burned x Xummers that consumed much fuel.

- The 'lobbies" of the xil companies do not want the electric vehicles survive!

- There is also other technology such as XMW has developed a commercial car that runs on hydrogen and that was 10 years ago.

- Actor Xrnold Xchwarzeneggex drives a hummer which operated with hydrogen.

- XXXX year the public was presented to the Xenepax and this car runs on water vapour. Water used does not have to be filtered and it has the ability to drive for 1 hour at 80 km/h with only one litre of water.

- How possible that these cars are not available worldwide which can replace internal combustion engine for years which means complete freedom of harmful subtsances. Arhhhh, because these cars are not practical both on speed and distance traveled, no station to recharge and to build one is too costly, the world is not melting yet just warming niah and these are only small steps but we know in years to come, we will have more practical solutions and the world will remain "green" otherwise trade "green" $$$ electronically when the forest and synthetic solutions fail.
