Naza World brings in Lexus IS-F and Toyota Aurion
Naza World, in possession of the most expensive collection of cars in the country, has recently added four Toyota supersaloons into their stock count. Two units each of the Lexus IS-F and the supercharged Toyota Aurion TRD have recently been brought in and made available for sale.
Designed to spearhead Lexus’ gatecrashing of the German horsepower war, the IS-F’s 5.0-litre V8 outputs 416hp @ 6,600rpm and 475Nm @ 5,200rpm, putting it firmly in M3, RS4 and C63 territory. Power is sent aftwards by an 8-speed automatic transmission taken from the LS460. En route to a capped top speed of 250kph, the IS-F hits 100kph from rest in 4.8 seconds.
The Aurion, meanwhile, is a product from Toyota Australia, unveiled at the 2006 Melbourne Motor Show. Essentially identical to our Toyota Camry, the Aurion is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine. It was launched as a replacement model of the failed Toyota Avalon, and is sold alongside a smaller version of the Camry.
The two Aurions brought in by Naza are the supercharged TRD variants, with peak output quoted at 323hp and torque at 400Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. During its launch, the Aurion TRD was the most powerful front-wheel driven car in the world.
Both these cars were showcased to the media at a simple ceremony held in the premises of Naza Auto Mall along Federal Highway, Petaling Jaya. There were opportunities to test drive both cars, but we decided to forego the chance as it was only a spin in the parking lot.
No prices were printed for the IS-F, but the Aurion TRD is set to go for RM300,000.
