Mitsubishi Motors Announces Post NAP Prices
April 7, 2006, Kuala Lumpur – Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia announced its new prices for the range of vehicles imported by the company as a result of the NAP announcement by the government recently. Appended here is the press statement in full:-
“As a result of the National Automotive Policy (NAP), Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia is lowering the price of its passenger car, Mitsubishi Lancer sedan by 2% per cent with immediate effect. By applying the new prices, customers can enjoy a reduction of RM2,000.00. Customers can now purchase the standard 1.6-liter Mitsubishi Lancer model at RM97,425.30 (on-the-road price without insurance).
“Being a relatively new player in the local automotive industry, we wish to demonstrate our long-term commitment in Malaysia,” said Mr Fumihiko Minami, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
Buyers who have booked their new vehicles but yet to register will also enjoy the new price.
The prices for the Mitsubishi Grandis MPV, Outlander SUV, Colt compact 5-door, Evolution IX and the L200 pick-up truck will be maintained.
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia’s passenger cars are fully imported from Japan while the L200 comes from Thailand. In its commitment to quality and reliability, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia is offering 5 years’ warranty / first 100,000km (whichever comes first) for the passenger vehicles (except Evolution IX), a 3-year warranty or first 100,000km (whichever comes first) for L200.”
