Hyundai Service Tour Starts This Month
Kah Bintang, the distributor of locally-assembled Hyundai cars, has spent the past year building up its after-sales support services nationwide. The program has involved training of staff in technical, warranty and customer care aspects.
Now, with a well trained team established, the company will embark on a Hyundai Service Tour along the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia during August. The team will consist of 10 members and include personnel familiar with factory quality control as well as lubricants. There will also be a member from Hyundai Motor’s service network.
Besides visiting service centres in various towns, the team will also conduct inspections on cars at these service centres and use Hyundai Motor’s computerized diagnostic equipment. The inspections, which cover seven aspects, will be done free of charge for customers.
The objective of the tour is to collect information in two specific areas: customer satisfaction with regards to the service and customer expectations with regards to the product. All this information collected will be passed to the assembly plant in Johor to help in product enhancements and quality. Hyundai Motor personnel will also send the feedback to the factory in Korea to assist in ongoing product improvement activities.
Kah Bintang is inviting Hyundai owners to take advantage of these free inspections and also says that the owners will have an opportunity to have their questions answered by experts as well as give their opinions about using the car. At the same time, if any service work is recommended as a result of the inspection, the service centre will give a 20% discount on parts used and 35% discount on labour. This offer is valid up to two months from the time of inspection.
“Customers whose cars are inspected will also receive a special gift package from Kah Bintang. This consists of a t-shirt with the Malaysian flag, a car sticker and exclusive gifts,” said a Kah Bintang spokesman.
