UD Trucks & TCIE Launch New Kuzer SKE Light-Duty Truck In Malaysia

UD Trucks, in partnership with sole distributor Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE), launched the new Kuzer SKE 155 light-duty truck in Malaysia. Developed specifically for Southeast Asian markets, the updated Kuzer SKE is designed to deliver improved performance, efficiency, and safety to help logistics businesses boost productivity.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Kuzer SKE 155 features upgrades in 6 key areas:

It is available in 7.5-tonne and 8.5-tonne Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) configurations. The 7.5-tonne variant offers an impressive payload capacity of 4,880 kg—over 600 kg more than the previous model.

Enhanced Powertrain & Payload Capability

The new Kuzer is powered by a fuel-efficient 5.2L Euro IV engine mated to a 6-speed overdrive gearbox. Its advanced fuel injection and engine management systems are designed to increase fuel efficiency while reducing emissions. The new gear ratios also allow for lower engine RPMs at higher speeds, contributing to both fuel savings and engine longevity.

In addition to increased payload, the truck boasts a more robust rear axle, making it suitable for heavier-duty applications. These improvements make the Kuzer SKE an ideal solution for e-commerce and urban delivery operations. 

Focus On Safety & Comfort

Safety remains a priority with new features such as SRS airbags, Anti-Slip Regulator (ASR), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). The truck also complies with ECE R29 cabin safety regulations.

Drivability has been enhanced with a more aerodynamic cab design that reduces drag and improves fuel economy. For urban routes, the truck’s improved maneuverability makes it adept at navigating tight corners and congested areas.

The cabin includes LED headlights, ergonomic dashboard with a clear instrument cluster, USB ports, ample storage, and wide door openings with low steps and grab handles for ease of access.
