Kia EV9 Clinches Dual Victories At 2024 World Car Awards; Open For Booking In Malaysia
The Kia EV9 has clinched a remarkable dual victory at the recent 2024 World Car Awards. Revealed during the live announcement at the World Car Awards ceremony at the New York Auto Show, the Kia EV9 secured both the prestigious World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle titles. 
Chosen by a panel of 100 distinguished automotive journalists representing 29 countries, the World Car Awards acknowledged the Kia EV9’s innovative design, spacious 7-seat interior, and competitive price point. Built on the E-GMP platform, the EV9 stands as Kia’s pioneer in featuring 4th-generation battery technology for enhanced performance.
Established in 2003, the World Car Awards enjoy global recognition as the foremost standard for automotive excellence and leadership, honoring remarkable achievements within an ever-evolving automotive industry. Prior to the 2024 event, Kia had already bagged 3 wins at the World Car Awards i.e. the Telluride as World Car of the Year, and the Soul EV as World Urban Car in 2020, along with the Kia EV6 GT earning World Performance Car of the Year in 2023.
