Darren Chan Appointed Managing Director Of Bosch Malaysia Amid Record Growth
Bosch has appointed Darren Chan Chon Hoe as the new Managing Director of Bosch Malaysia, effective 1 July 2025. He becomes the first Malaysian to take on the role, succeeding Vijay Ratnaparkhe, who had served in an interim capacity for the past 11 months. Ratnaparkhe will now resume his full regional responsibilities as Regional President of Bosch Southeast Asia.
In addition to his new appointment, Chan will continue to serve as CEO and Managing Director of Bosch Rexroth Malaysia and Regional Technology Leader for Industrial Hydraulics at Bosch Rexroth ASEAN. 
His appointment comes on the back of strong business growth for Bosch in Malaysia. The company recorded a record-high turnover of €1.466 billion (approximately RM7.26 billion) in 2024, reflecting a year-on-year increase of nearly 31%. Consolidated sales to third parties rose 16% to €188 million (RM929.5 million).
“Darren’s deep industry knowledge and strong connection to the local market make him the right person to lead Bosch Malaysia into its next chapter,” said Vijay Ratnaparkhe.
With over 20 years of experience in industrial automation, Chan has held leadership roles across Southeast Asia, covering industries such as electronics, semiconductors, automotive, and general manufacturing.

Combining Bosch’s more than a century of presence and over 3,700 associates across the country with my experience, I aim to strengthen public–private collaboration and advance continuous talent development — both of which are key to raising the country’s gross national income per capita,” commented Chan.
