Sime Motors Launches Zero Waste* Tyre Recycling Programme With Evergreen Corporate
Sime Motors has launched its Zero Waste* Tyre Recycling Programme in collaboration with Evergreen Corporate Sdn Bhd, setting a milestone for sustainable automotive waste management in Malaysia. The initiative, which began on 1 July 2025, will be rolled out across all Sime Motors dealerships in Peninsular Malaysia, and is the first structured tyre recycling programme of its kind by a Malaysian automotive retail group.
“This programme reflects our commitment to sustainability and innovation in waste management,” said Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Southeast Asia, Sime Motors. “With Evergreen Corporate’s advanced capabilities, we’re proud to lead the zero waste* tyre recycling within the industry.” 
Under this programme, used tyres collected from Sime Motors’ service centres—including brands such as BMW, MINI, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo, BYD, Denza, Drivecare, and Auto Selection, will be sent to Evergreen Corporate’s facility. There, the tyres undergo the Advanced Thermal Recovery Green Technology process which enables 100% material recovery with minimal harmful emissions. Recovered outputs include carbon black, fuel oil, and steel.
Evergreen Corporate is accredited with an ESG Gold rating by the Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC), recognising its leadership in clean, closed-loop waste recovery and sustainable waste management.

The initiative for managing used tyres also aligns with the Department of Environment (DOE) standards and supports national ESG and sustainability objectives. Customers servicing or purchasing vehicles from Sime Motors can be assured that their used tyres are being responsibly recycled in a system designed to reduce environmental impact.
