MG Cyberster RWD All-Electric Roadster Launched In Malaysia: Priced From RM299,900
MG Motor Malaysia has unveiled a rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant of its flagship all-electric sports car, the MG Cyberster, offering Malaysians a more accessible way to experience the world’s first electric roadster with electric scissor doors. Priced at RM299,900, this new variant brings similar bold styling, exhilarating performance, and next-generation EV technology into reach.
Powering the MG Cyberster RWD is a 340 PS electric motor producing 475 Nm of torque, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds; the dual motor Cyberster does it in 3.2 seconds. Thus, the same 77kWh battery pack delivers a higher WLTP-certified driving range of up to 508 km. It also supports DC fast charging (10% to 80% in only 38 minutes). Brembo brake calipers and 19″ alloy wheels are standard.
The Cyberster’s sculpted exterior features a low-slung body, Kammback tail, and arrow-shaped LED tail lamps. Inside, a driver-focused cockpit boasts leather and Alcantara upholstery with enhanced lumbar support. The dashboard is dominated by a tri-wraparound digital screen layout, featuring a 10.25″ digital driver display, two 7″ auxiliary screens, and a central infotainment touchscreen.
Designed from the ground up as an EV, the Cyberster features an ultra-thin battery pack integrated horizontally to maximise interior space and maintain a low centre of gravity. MG’s proprietary battery technology also limits cell expansion, promoting long-term durability and safety.
You can choose from 4 vibrant exterior colours: Dynamic Red, Camden Grey, Inca Yellow, and English White. Black and red interior themes are offered with Dynamic Red and Camden Grey, while Inca Yellow and English White come with grey interiors. A red soft top can be added for RM2,000.
