Facelifted Modenas Elegan EX Launched In Malaysia – Premium Styling And Upgraded Features

Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS), a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad, has officially launched the facelifted Modenas Elegan EX, enhancing the popular maxi-scooter with refreshed styling, updated features, and functionality. Priced at RM17,780, the new Elegan EX is now available at all authorised MODENAS dealerships nationwide.

The facelifted Elegan EX is offered in 2 new premium new colours i.e. Deep Blue and Plain Grey. Designed to cater to both city riders and long-distance commuters, the upgraded model continues to deliver on performance, comfort, and efficiency.

New Features And Styling Updates

MODENAS has given the Elegan EX a visual and functional uplift, featuring:

Performance And Comfort

Under the fairing, the Elegan EX retains its 249 cc liquid-cooled, SOHC engine, producing 22.4 hp @ 7,000 rpm and 22.4 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT transmission for smooth acceleration and ease of use. With a 14-litre fuel tank, the Elegan EX’s touring capabilities is enhanced, making it ideal for daily rides as well as longer road trips.

Further, the scooter’s front and rear disc brakes with ABS ensure confident stopping power, while the telescopic front suspension and twin rear shock absorbers provide stability and comfort across varied road conditions.
