Chery Expands In Borneo With Four New Showrooms In Sabah And Sarawak

Chery Malaysia has expanded its presence in East Malaysia with the opening of 4 new showrooms in Sabah and Sarawak, further reinforcing its commitment to accessibility and customer service in the region.

The new outlets, which began operations at the end of 2024 and just recently held their official launches, are located in Miri, Sandakan, Tawau, and Kota Kinabalu respectively. With these additions, Chery Malaysia now operates 4 showrooms and 2 service centres in Sabah, while Sarawak has 2 showrooms and 2 service centres, along with a dedicated body and paint outlet in each state.

Chery’s New Showroom Locations In Borneo

  • Chery Miri 3S Centre
    • Run by MP Advanced Automotive Sdn Bhd, the Miri showroom is located at Lot 8363-8366, Ground Floor, Block 1 Lambir Land District, Jalan Miri By-Pass, 98000 Miri, Sarawak.
    • Spanning 892 square metres, it features a showroom, customer service area, and 4 service bays.
    • The showroom is open daily, while the service centre operates from Monday to Saturday.
  • Chery Sandakan 1S Centre
    • Operated by Universal Chery Sdn Bhd, the Sandakan showroom is located at Lot No 1, Taman Wemin, Batu 5, Jalan Labuk, 90000 Sandakan, Sabah.
    • It is open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Monday–Friday), 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Saturday), and 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Sundays and public holidays).
  • Chery Tawau 3S Centre
    • Also managed by Universal Chery Sdn Bhd, the Tawau 3S outlet is situated at TB4005, Taman Berkeley, Batu 1, Jalan Apas, 91000 Tawau, Sabah.
    • The 682-square-metre facility includes a showroom, customer service area, and a service centre equipped with 4 service bays manned by trained technicians.
    • The showroom operates daily, while the service centre is open from Monday to Saturday.
  • Chery Imago Mall Kota Kinabalu
    • Chery has introduced a boutique showroom concept in a shopping mall to enhance customer convenience.
    • Operated by Universal Chery Sdn Bhd, the new showroom at Imago Mall Kota Kinabalu (Lot G-74-1, Ground Floor) allows customers to view, test drive, and book Chery vehicles.
    • It is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM (Friday–Sunday).
    • “With families spending weekends shopping and enjoying leisure activities, bringing a Chery showroom to Imago Mall makes it easier for customers to explore our vehicles while enjoying the mall’s amenities,” added Chew.

Chery’s Growth Plans In Malaysia

With these new additions, Chery Malaysia now operates a total of 56 showrooms nationwide. The company plans to further expand its network to 65 outlets by 2025, strengthening its position in the Malaysian automotive market.
