Sunmax Petroleum Fuels Growth With New Fleet Of UD Quester Trucks

Fuel transportation company, Sunmax Petroleum Sdn Bhd, has significantly boosted its operational capacity with the addition of 8 brand new UD Quester heavy-duty trucks. The handover ceremony, held at Sunmax’s headquarters in Lukut, Negri Sembilan, marked the beginning of a new partnership with UD Trucks and its sole distributor, Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE).

The new fleet consists of 4 Quester CWE models, as well as 2 each of the Quester GWE and GKE models. These trucks will be deployed for the transportation of diesel and fuel across Peninsular Malaysia, supporting Sunmax’s growing business in the petroleum wholesale and transportation sector, particularly its focus on supplying fuel and diesel to bunker ships.

The Quester CWE and GWE models are configured as 6×4 axle trucks, offering output ranging from 330 hp to 440 hp. Meanwhile, the Quester GKE model is a 4×2 axle configuration with 390 hp. All vehicles are powered by the robust 11L GH11E engine that is engineered for optimal torque output and fuel efficiency through low engine speed operation. Equipped with 9- and 12-speed gearboxes, the trucks also feature a full air brake system and auxiliary engine brake system for enhanced safety.
