Jaecoo’s Dealer Network Propels Brand’s Strong Start In Malaysia

Jaecoo Malaysia’s first 5 months have been nothing short of impressive, with the brand registering 7,041 units of the Jaecoo J7 model and signaling a strong entry into Malaysia’s competitive SUV market. While the overall automotive market experienced strong growth, with the MAA revising its TIV forecast to 800,000 vehicles, Jaecoo’s performance highlights more than just favourable market conditions. It reflects a calculated approach to the brand’s dealer network development.

The brand’s focus on strategic partnerships, as evidenced by the inaugural dealer awards ceremony recognising 12 top performers, suggests a clear understanding from the start, that a strong retail presence is crucial for premium brands to build customer affinity. Emily Lek, Vice President of Jaecoo Malaysia, emphasised this point, stating, “We appreciate our customers for their faith in the Jaecoo brand and we will remain dedicated to deliver on our brand promise with best-in-class vehicles and a premium ownership experience. The awards recognise our dealer network which play a vital role in the brand’s overall achievement. We will continue to expand our dealer network, in line with our ambition to provide the absolute best customer experience.”Jaecoo J7 AWD_Off-road_Gravel

Last year, Jaecoo’s sales performance in the southern region had outstripped even the traditionally established market centre of the Klang Valley in the central region. Going forward, Jaecoo Malaysia will incorporate other metrics such as Customer Service Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) into its dealer evaluations to emphasise on a customer-centric approach as a key differentiator in the competitive premium segment.

Bagging the Jaecoo’s inaugural crown of “Dealer of the Year” is Auto Galaksi Sdn Bhd. This Johor-based dealership’s success highlights the importance of understanding local market dynamics and providing exceptional customer service. Dato’ Desmond Tien, Managing Director of Auto Galaksi, expressed, “We are deeply honoured to be the inaugural recipient of Jaecoo’s ‘Dealer of the Year’ award. This achievement reflects the unwavering trust and support of our valued customers and business partners. We are grateful to the Jaceoo management for their exceptional leadership and vision, which have been instrumental in paving the way for success. Every member of the Auto Galaksi family played a vital role in this accomplishment, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to setting new benchmarks in customer service excellence.”Jaecoo Malaysia_Dealer of the Year 2024_Auto Galaksi Sdn Bhd

Other dealerships recognised by Jaecoo for their achievements are Gagner Auto Sdn Bhd, ES Premium Holdings Sdn Bhd, Luxury Legend Sdn Bhd, Siang Hin (K.L) Sdn Bhd, Apple Autotech Sdn Bhd, Kluster Automobile Sdn Bhd, Carshen Sdn Bhd, AAW Nexus Sdn Bhd, BH Premium Auto (M) Sdn Bhd, Indah Utara  Enterprise Sdn Bhd and Tropical Impact Auto Sdn Bhd.

Following up on the successful launches of J7 and C9, Jaecoo is preparing for the launch of the J7 PHEV (plug-in hybrid) in February 2025. It is also working on expanding its lineup of attainable luxury vehicles to offer Malaysian more choices.

The challenge for Jaecoo will be maintaining this momentum in 2025, in a market which is expected to remain highly competitive. However, Jaecoo’s ability thus far to nurture and establish a solid dealer network, as well as its emphasis on the lifestyle aspects of the ownership experience should see the brand on a positive trajectory. Jaecoo J7 PHEV_Rear
