Isuzu D-Max Low-Ride: New Budget-Friendly Workhorse For The Cost-Conscious
Isuzu Malaysia has unveiled the new Isuzu D-Max Low-Ride 4×2 MT pickup truck, a move designed to provide cost-conscious businesses with a cost-effective and reliable work vehicle. This latest addition to the D-Max lineup aims to deliver practical functionality and low running costs, targeting urban as well as sub-urban entreprises seeking to maximise cost efficiency.
The D-Max Low-Ride shares its foundation with the dependable Isuzu D-Max 1.9L Single Cab, retaining its robust build and workhorse capabilities, but with a few key enhancements to better suit its intended role. It is powered by the proven 1.9L RZ4E-TC turbo diesel engine that is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission to optimise both fuel efficiency and long-term affordability. This particular engine recently demonstrated its outstanding fuel economy by clocking over 2,000 km on a single tank of diesel.

A key feature of the new Isuzu D-Max Low-Ride is its exceptionally accessible cargo area. With a loading deck of just 78 cm above the ground, loading and unloading of large and small items becomes significantly easier. Furthermore, the cabin offers comfortable seating for 5, positioning this truck as ideal for businesses that require both cargo and personnel transportation to provide on-site services.
Despite being the most affordable pick-up truck currently in the market, the D-Max Low-Ride doesn’t compromise on safety and comfort. It comes with essential features like fabric seat upholstery, a Bluetooth-ready single-DIN entertainment system, a steering column adjustable for angle and reach, central locking, and electronically adjustable door mirrors. 
Isuzu also didn’t compromise on safety. The D-Max Low-Ride features a host of safety features including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Hill Descent Control (HDC). Further safety features include 2 airbags, a Brake Override System (BOS), Emergency Stop Signal, Follow-Me Home lights, and reverse sensors. The D-Max also bears a 5-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.
The Isuzu D-Max Low-Ride is now available for booking at all authorised Isuzu dealerships nationwide, with deliveries expected to commence in February 2025. The on-the-road price without insurance starts from RM92,199.20 in Peninsular Malaysia, RM94,279.60 in Sabah, and RM94,170.30 in Sarawak. All models come with a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty.
