SAIC Motor Malaysia To Unveil MG Cyberster At KL International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2024)
SAIC Motor Malaysia is set to make waves at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 with a showcase of the latest MG models. Taking place from 5 to 11 December at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), the event will offer car enthusiasts a first-hand look at MG’s innovative lineup, blending cutting-edge technology with stylish designs.
Malaysian Debut Of MG Cyberster
A key highlight of the event is the Malaysian debut of the MG Cyberster, a sleek 2-seater roadster that promises to capture the essence of MG’s sporty heritage. Unveiled at a previous MG event, the Cyberster is the brand’s halo product. This all-electric roadster convertible measures 4,535 mm long, 1,913 mm wide and 1,329 mm tall, sitting on a 2,690 mm wheelbase.
SAIC will offer the Cyberster in the dual-motor all-wheel-drive form. This EV has 400 kW (544 PS) and 725 Nm which enables a century sprint in 3.2 seconds; top speed is 208 km/h. Energy comes from a 77 kWh lithium ion battery which offers a driving range of up to 446 km. AC charging via a 7 kW charger takes about 10.5 hours for a full charge (from 10% to 100%). As for rapid charging, it supports 150 kW DC public chargers achieving a 10% to 80% charge in 38 minutes.
The EV roadster comes with 20″ Jetstream alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights with DRL, red brake calipers, leather sports seats with Alcantara inserts, Nappa leather wrapped steering wheel, 7″ central infotainment screen, 10.25″ driver display, with a pair of 7″ auxiliary screens on either side as well as an 8-speaker Bose sound system. Its unique feature is the pair of electric frameless scissor doors.
Safety feature comes in the form of the MG Pilot Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The official pricing for the MG Cyberster will be revealed during the event, making it a centrepiece attraction for visitors.

If you opt to not drive to the exhibition venue, MAA has also made arrangements for:
- Bus shuttles will run from Sunway Putra and Central Market directly to MITEC. Operation times are 1 hour before and after the show times, with shuttles running every 30 minutes (depending on traffic).
- Van shuttles available from the Matrade open carpark and the National Hockey Stadium, to shuttle visitors to MITEC.
