SAIC Motor Malaysia Welcomes Mr Emory QiFeng As New Managing Director
SAIC Motor Malaysia Sdn Bhd has appointed Mr. Emory QiFeng as its new Managing Director to mark a new chapter for MG Motor Malaysia. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in the global automotive industry, as well as a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role. Taking over from Mr. Steven Du, Mr. Emory QiFeng will continue to lead the company’s expansion efforts in Malaysia.
Extensive Industry Experience
Mr. QiFeng’s journey in the automotive world began in 1998, where he has held several key leadership positions. His tenure at SAIC-Volkswagen Sales Co., Ltd. saw him excel in Network Planning and Development, and in After-Sales Strategy, making him a pivotal figure in driving growth. In 2023, he was appointed Director of Global Business at SAIC Motor International Co., Ltd., where he played a critical role in shaping the brand’s global expansion strategy.
After joining SAIC Motor Malaysia in 2024 as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. QiFeng has now been promoted to Managing Director to oversee sales, marketing, and product strategy. Under his leadership, SAIC Motor Malaysia is expected to strengthen its footprint in the highly competitive Malaysian automotive market.
Expanding MG Motor’s Presence In Malaysia
In his new role, Mr. QiFeng will focus on growing the MG brand’s market presence through innovative strategies, enhanced customer experiences, and an expanded product lineup. MG, known for its British heritage and youthful, tech-driven cars, has made significant strides in global markets, and Malaysia is set to be a key area of growth.
