The GWM Tank 300 Has Arrived In Malaysia In Time For July Launch

Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia has shared that a batch of the GWM Tank 300 has arrived at Port Klang. The arrival of the shipment is in time for its official launch in July, where the company expects to start deliveries of this off-road SUV soon after. 

The GWM Tank 300 is one of the best-selling off-road SUVs in China, leading the segment there for 41 consecutive months. The vehicle has also earned a 5-star safety certification from ANCAP. Powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol engine paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, the Tank 300 offers 220 PS (217 hp) and 380 Nm of torque. This combination is claimed to provide smooth urban driving as well as off-road prowess. There is also an all-terrain control system with 9 driving modes, crawl control mode, and a tank turn capability.

The Tank 300’s dual-speed electronically-controlled part-time 4-wheel drive (4WD) system switches seamlessly between 2-wheel drive (2WD) and 4-wheel drive (4WD) modes. It can handle ramp angles of 23.1° and a maximum gradability of 70%. It also boasts a wading depth of up to 700 mm. Additionally, its body has ultra-high-strength rating of 1,500 MPa. 

For the interior, the seats are wrapped in Nappa leather, with the driver getting an 8-way adjustable seat. Other notable features include a 9-speaker Infinity sound system, a 12.3″ infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, double-layered acoustic glass, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). 

To reward the early birds, GWM will offer an exclusive package for the first 300 GWM Tank 300 buyers. This includes a 5-year (or 100,000 km, whichever comes first) free maintenance package. Additionally, the first-hand owners will receive a lifetime Engine & Transmission warranty with unlimited mileage. At the official launch, these customers will also receive special rewards.
