Chery Malaysia Supports National Athletes Ahead Of Paris Games
Chery Malaysia has announced its support for our local athletes heading to the upcoming Olympic games in Paris next month. Recognising their hard work and dedication, Chery Malaysia is eager to encourage our athletes to strive for glory.
“We know they have put in the hard work and long hours of training for the games. We have high hopes that this year, Malaysia will achieve the coveted gold medal that the nation has been eyeing,” said Leo Chen, President of Chery Auto Malaysia.
As motivation for the athletes, Chery Malaysia has pledged these incentives:
- Gold Medal Winners: Tiggo 8 Pro 7-seater SUV
- Silver Medal Winners: Omoda E5 all-electric SUV
- Bronze Medal Winners: Tiggo 7 Pro 5-seater SUV
These rewards were announced by Chen during an event attended by Datuk Stuart Ramalingam, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Football League and Coordinator of the Road to Gold Programme. Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., and Zhang Guibing, President of Chery International were also present for the announcement.
“We are indeed very happy with the pledge by Chery Malaysia to reward Malaysian athletes who will do well in the upcoming Olympics in Paris. We hope this will spur the athletes to give their best and make the country proud,” said National Sports Council Director-General, Abdul Rashid Yaakub.
This form of support is a global initiative by the Chery Group in its overseas markets to support the local athletes competing in the games. In Malaysia, Chery will be organising activities such as viewing parties to rally support for the athletes.
“To the Malaysian contingent, know that Chery Malaysia will be cheering you on every step of the way,” added Leo.
