Fresh off its international debut at Auto China Beijing 2024, Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur has introduced the Lamborghini Urus SE in Malaysia. This is the first hybrid plug-in version of the Lamborghini Super SUV and signifies a milestone for Automobili Lamborghini with a new design, optimised aerodynamics, cutting-edge on-board technology, and an 800 CV (789 hp) hybrid powertrain, to offer enhanced comfort, performance, efficiency, emissions, and driving pleasure.

Today, the Super SUV has firmly established itself as our best seller, not just in the Asia Pacific region, but across all markets worldwide. The new Urus SE sets the stage for an era of Super SUV evolution in the electrification phase, and it is also a significant milestone for the brand. I believe that this car is an interpretation of the brand going beyond, and how we revolutionised the automotive world with our iconic Super SUV, ” said Francesco Scardaoni, Region Director of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific.

Technical Excellence and Unmatched Performance

The Urus SE features a re-engineered 4.0L twin turbo V8 engine paired with an electric powertrain to deliver a combined output of 800 CV (588 kW) @ 6,000 rpm and 950 Nm of torque @ 1,750 – 5,750 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, and from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.2 seconds; top speed is 312 km/h. These figures make the SE the most powerful Urus ever and the fastest production car in the segment, setting a new benchmark in the Super SUV category.Lamborghini Urus SE_4.0L V8 Engine_Plug-in Hybrid

Further, the permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor located inside the 8-speed automatic transmission can act as a boost for the V8 combustion engine as well as a traction element for all-wheel-drive handling. The 25.9 kWh lithium ion battery placed below the load floor enables over 60 km of electric-only driving.Lamborghini Urus SE_Charging Port_Plug-in Hybrid

Key innovations include the electric torque vectoring system between the two axles, and electronic rear differential, to enhance grip and performance on all surfaces. The transfer case works in synergy with the new electronic limited-slip differential installed on the rear axle, giving the vehicle “on demand” oversteering to convey the feel of a purebred super sports car.

Design and Aerodynamics

The Urus SE’s design combines sporty aesthetics with aerodynamic efficiency. It features a new hood design, matrix LED headlights with a brand-new light signature inspired by the tail of the Lamborghini brand’s bull, a redesigned rear diffuser, bumper and grille, and enhanced air ducts for improved cooling.

Together with the new spoiler, the diffuser increases rear downforce by 35% at high speeds compared to the Urus S, further enhancing the vehicle’s stability. Meanwhile, the new under-body air vents and revamped air ducts provide a 15% increase in mechanical cooling and a 30% improvement in brake cooling compared to the original Urus.

Advanced Interior and Customization Options

Inside, the Urus SE has been updated to highlight Lamborghini’s signature “feel like a pilot” design DNA. There is now a larger 12.3″ touchscreen that is part of the Lamborghini Infotainment System (LIS) with a new version of the Human Machine Interface (HMI) that is even more intuitive, and an equally large 12.3″ digital instrument cluster. It also includes a dedicated telemetry system for the SE and new displays related to the driving assistance system that allow for better perception of the surrounding environment.

The Urus SE also comes with a range of customization options. On offer are 23” Galanthus rims paired with Pirelli P Zero tyres. There are also 3 dedicated P Zeros, from 21″ to 23″, to meet customers’ different requirements for comfort and sportiness. All these feature Pirelli Elect technology developed to enhance the characteristics of the first electrified Urus. Lamborghini Urus SE_23 Inch Wheel_Pirelli P Zero

Additionally, the colour range has been expanded, with over 100 bodywork options available, including 2 new colours i.e. Arancio Egon (orange), in combination with an interior in Arancio Apodis (orange), and Bianco Sapphirus (white) with interior in Terra Kedros (terracotta). The interior options include a choice of 47 colour combinations and 4 types of embroidery (Q-citura stitching), with the additional potential offered via the Ad Personam programme which enables owners to make their Urus SE a true one-of-a-kind.

Driving Modes and Suspension

The Lamborghini Urus SE offers multiple driving modes, combining 6 traditional modes with 4 new Electric Performance Strategies (EPS). The Strada, Sport, and Corsa modes (for road and track use), and the Neve, Sabbia, and Terra modes (for surfaces with a different grip than asphalt) are joined by EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance, and Recharge. Lamborghini Urus SE_Drive Mode Selector_Start Stop ButtonEV Drive allows the driver to experience and exploit the electric potential at its best. Especially developed and calibrated for urban driving, it delivers over 60 km in electric range as well as reaching a maximum speed of over 130 km/h. Above this speed the V8 engine automatically supports the electric motor, likewise if the torque demands exceed the maximum available from the electric motor. Hybrid mode can be selected when driving in Strada mode and provides the maximum efficiency and comfort along with optimal balance between combustion engine and the electric motor. It is therefore the most versatile option for everyday driving. Meanwhile, Recharge can be selected in Strada, Sport, Corsa and Neve modes and recharges up to 80% of the battery while maintaining optimal performance. Furthermore, the air suspension system is fine-tuned for each mode, ensuring optimal performance whether on a racetrack or rugged terrain.

The Lamborghini Urus SE is now available for booking in Malaysia through Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur, starting at RM1,028,000 before taxes and customization.  Lamborghini Urus SE_Side
