Kia EV9: Dinamikjaya Motors Launches 2nd BEV In Malaysia At The Exchange TRX
Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd has officially launched the Kia EV9, its 2nd Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) in Malaysia, at The Exchange TRX.
Since its debut in March 2023, the Kia EV9 has received international acclaim, securing prestigious awards such as the 2024 World Car of The Year and the Best of the Best Award in the Cars and Motorcycle category by Red Dot Award: Product Design 2024.
Bold Styling and Sophisticated Elegance
The Kia EV9 epitomises bold styling and sophisticated elegance inside and out. Inspired by Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, the EV9 reimagines the all-electric SUV with a unique balance of natural and modern elements. The exterior provides a sense of contemporary calmness, while maintaining a distinctive character.
The front of the EV9 features clear-cut lines and surfaces, with its signature “Digital Tiger Face” and “Digital Pattern Lighting Grille”, and vertical headlamps adding to its unique appearance. The “Star Map” lighting on the LED daytime running lights (DRL) and taillights creates a sophisticated animated pattern, giving the vehicle an instantly recognisable look.
Interior Designed for Modern Families
Tailored to elevate the experience for modern families, the EV9’s interior emphasises space, adaptability, comfort, and cutting-edge technology. Kia’s “Technology for Life” philosophy further ensures intuitive interactions between human and machine. 
The long wheelbase, low beltline, and flat electric vehicle architecture contribute to the EV9’s generous space. Available in 6-seat and 7-seat configurations, the Kia EV9 caters to different passenger needs. Furthermore, the spacious, airy cabin boasts premium-quality, user-friendly design elements created using recycled materials as one of the brand’s sustainability initiatives.
At the front, the floating panoramic dashboard extends from the steering wheel to the centre, with 2 12.3″ touchscreens and a 5″ segment display for a digital experience offering comprehensive information and control of vehicle functionality with minimal physical buttons.
Advanced Performance and Technology
Built on Kia’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV9 is the 2nd Kia model to use it, and the first to feature 4th-generation battery technology with improved energy density. The high-voltage 99.8 kWh battery pack powers the 2 electric motors (in the front and rear axles) that provides 380 hp and 700 Nm of torque, and allows the AWD EV9 to travel up to 505 kilometers on a single charge (based on WLTP cycle).
