GWM Malaysia Announces Arrival Of GWM Ora 07 Performance Variant
GWM Malaysia has announced the arrival of the GWM Ora 07 Performance variant, marking an important step in its commitment to providing environmentally conscious transportation solutions. This follows the Ora 07’s official launch in April.
The Ora 07 Performance variant blends sleek design with high performance, featuring a dual-motor electric powertrain for all-wheel drive, delivering output of 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW) and 680 Nm. With the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, the 07 Performance promises a dynamic driving experience (top speed is limited to 180 km/h). Driving performance is boosted by the Sport+ mode exclusive to this variant.
With a similarly sized ternary lithium battery to the Ora 07 Long Range Ultra variant i.e. 83.5 kWh battery, the 07 Performance has a driving range of up to 483 km range (based on the WLTP testing protocol). The battery has the ability to accept up to 88 kW DC fast charging which can charge the battery from 30% to 80% in about 32 minutes. On the other hand, with 11 kW AC charging, it will take 15 hours to go from 0% to 100%. Further, the battery pack is built with a 5-fold system for added protection and safety, and offers Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability of up to 3.3 kW to power devices and appliances.
On the exterior, differentiating the Performance from the Long Range Ultra variant are the red brake calipers and 235/45 R19 Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. While on the inside, the Performance variant gets a brown finish as opposed to the Long Range’s black.
Besides a comprehensive ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite, the Ora 07 is a 6-year or 150,000 km full vehicle warranty, and an 8-year or 180,000 km warranty for the power battery, electric motor and electric motor control unit. Additionally, there is a 12-year car rust and corrosion warranty and a 1-to-1 battery replacement if the battery’s state-of-charge falls below 70%.
The first batch of GWM Ora 07 Performance variants has reached Port Klang, with GWM Malaysia expecting to deliver the cars to showrooms across Malaysia by the end of June 2024.
