Measuring 5,915 mm long, the new Toyota HiAce SLWB stands out with its grand dimensions. With a width of 1,950 mm and a height of 2,280 mm, it significantly surpasses its predecessor in size. The increase in dimensions, with the length expanded by 1,220 mm, width by 255 mm, and height by 300 mm, offers more interior space and enhances stability and driving dynamics. Furthermore, the elongated wheelbase, now at 3,860 mm, allows for a spacious interior that enhances passenger comfort and cargo capacity for long journeys.
“We have received numerous requests from our business partners eagerly awaiting the new HiAce. As one of the leading commercial vans in Malaysia, the HiAce has always embodied our commitment to excellence. With the introduction of the Super Long Wheelbase model, we are proud to offer our customers a vehicle that not only meets but exceeds their expectations in terms of space, power, and comfort,” said Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMWT.
Aiding the HiAce Super Long Wheelbase Window Van to move people is the 2.8L 1GD-FTV turbo diesel engine which provides 177 PS (175 hp) @ 3,400 rpm and 450 Nm of torque @ 1,600 – 2,400 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with Sequential Shift to ensure smooth acceleration.
This latest evolution in the HiAce series promises to establish a new benchmark for 10-seater window vans. The Toyota HiAce SLWB is tailored for businesses requiring a dependable, spacious, and efficient vehicle, as well as for families seeking a comfortable and safe mode of transportation. A noteworthy feature is the Sliding Doorstep Lamp which provides improved visibility during entry and exit for passengers. Further, the built-in Front Digital Video Recorder (DVR) gives drivers extra peace of mind. The Toyota HiAce SLWB also comes fitted with 3-point seat belts for all seats, prioritising the safety of every occupant during transit.
Other safety features include Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Emergency Exit Hatch and Window, and 3 airbags.
“As we prepare to introduce the new Toyota HiAce SLWB, I am reminded of UMWT’s commitment to ‘Move Your World’ and pave the way for a connected, happy future.
