Another new automotive brand will have its official launch in Malaysia soon. Jaecoo is a premium SUV brand and has set its sight on building a strong affinity among Malaysia’s growing urban elite who have a taste for off-road adventures.
“Jaecoo is enjoying a lot of interest here in Malaysia. We believe that the Jaecoo brand is very much in line with Malaysia’s emerging group of trailblazers who enjoy an active lifestyle and appreciate a vehicle that performs on any terrain with an impressive off-road driving experience. And this is exactly what we aim to deliver,” said Leo Chen, President of Jaecoo Malaysia.
According to the Nielsen Global Survey of Automotive Demand, a rising middle class will drive automotive demand in Malaysia. A decade since the report was published, Malaysia continues to see a growing middle-class which is expanding its disposable income, a trend mirrored across the ASEAN region according to the 2023 ASEAN Investment Report. Jaecoo Malaysia is priming itself to appeal to this segment of consumers.
“Jaecoo’s debut is timely as Malaysia experiences growing demand for SUVs. We believe Jaecoo is well positioned as a strong challenger in the C-segment SUV market, in line with the positive sentiments from prospect customers,” shared Emily Lek, Vice-President of Jaecoo Malaysia.
Against the backdrop of growing demand for SUVs, Jaecoo is positioning itself as a formidable brand that offers quality and comfort at accessible prices. Its first product, the Jaecoo J7, slated for an official launch in the first of 2024, is a C-segment SUV with rugged off-road styling and capability. It also offers comfort, higher ground clearance, and a commanding driver seating position.
Its striking and rugged design features warship-inspired inner door handles, fighter jet-inspired gear shifter and a ‘waterfall’ grille, and is complemented by a comprehensive suite of safety features. The Jaecoo J7 boasts up to 21 intelligent driving functions seamlessly integrated within its advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Other features include a windshield head-up display (W-HUD) with an ibuilt-in front dashcam, 64-colour ambient lighting and 50W wireless charging with a cooling mechanism.
Jaecoo Malaysia will continue its Jaecoo Premiere Experience for the public to see the J7 at the following locations (from 10 AM to 10 PM):
