TotalEnergies Malaysia & ARUS Academy’s VIA Safe Mobility Malaysia 2023 Program Sends Road Safety Message To Students
The VIA Safe Mobility Malaysia 2023 program by TotalEnergies Malaysia and ARUS Academy is designed to build road safety awareness among school students. This year, the program was deployed to 137 schools across Malaysia, with 42 schools participating in the road safety poster drawing competition.
The aim of this initiative is to increase road safety awareness among school students, and at the same time nurture and empower the next generation of road safety ambassadors to spread awareness in their schools and communities. Since its rollout in July 2022, the VIA Safe Mobility Malaysia program has positively engaged 43,150 students aged between 10 to 16 years old.
“TotalEnergies is a multi-energy company that provides low-carbon energy & mobility solutions. Part of our company’s sustainable development efforts is to energize lives and communities we operate in by contributing to the safety and well-being of the community through road safety initiatives. The VIA Safe Mobility Program holds a special place in our hearts as it reflects our commitment to nurturing responsible citizens and promoting road safety. The teachings of the initiative go beyond the boundaries of the classroom; it extends to the very roads the students traverse daily and the communities they call home. We are proud of the impact we’ve made and look forward to the continued success of these young ambassadors in shaping a safer future for their peers and communities together with ARUS Academy as our partner,” commented Jennifer Li who emphasized the importance of fostering road safety values from a young age.
Alina Amir, CEO and Co-Founder of ARUS Academy, shared “ARUS Academy is honoured to collaborate with TotalEnergies Malaysia in the VIA Safe Mobility Program. Empowering youth to become road safety ambassadors is not just about protecting lives today but ensuring a safer tomorrow.
