Zontes 350 Maxi Scooter Launched In Malaysia

Zontes Distribution Sdn Bhd has launched the Zontes 350 maxi scooter series in Malaysia. There are 2 variants available i.e. Zontes 350D and 350E.

Both scooters share the same 349 cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected single cylinder engine paired with a CVT (continuously variable transmission) that offers 36 hp and 38 Nm of torque. However, both variants differ in terms of size and weight.

Designed for a more urban commute, the Zontes 350D is slimmer and lighter at 190 kg for better agility in city traffic. It also has one of the best power-to-weight ratios in its class. Fitted with a 12L fuel tank, it is capable of traveling up to 400 km in ECO mode. This scooter comes in a choice of silver and black body colours. Its basic selling price is listed at RM23,800.

Meanwhile, the Zontes 350E has a longer wheelbase of 1,565 mm (compared to the 1,405 mm of the 350D) which makes it more suitable for touring especially with a pillion. Consequently, it is also larger and heavier at 203 kg. It also has a larger 16L fuel tank. The larger seats allow for a bigger storage area underneath (50L) which can fit 2 full-face helmets. Additionally, the pair of storage spaces in front are also larger and can easily fit 4 500 ml water bottles.

Moreover, the 350E’s integrated aluminium alloy steering handles can be adjusted in 2 gears (front and rear). allowing the rider to adjust for a more comfortable riding position. The handle grips also have a heating function for chilly rides. The 350E is available in white or black paint scheme and comes with a price tag of RM25,800.

Both scooters come with a 2-year or 20,000 km general warranty and up to 3 years (or 30,000 km) warranty for engine parts (terms & conditions apply).

Common features of both variants include a 3.0 keyless control system, 6.7″ full colour TFT display with Bluetooth mirroring, electronically adjustable windshield and 18-watt dual fast charging port (Type A and Type-C). Both scooters are also fitted with J. Juan radial type 4-piston calipers, dual channel ABS, Traction Control System, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, and ultra bright Osram LED lights. The rated fuel consumption is 3.5l/100km.
