Maxim E-hailing To Assist New Partner-Drivers With PSV License

As one of its recruitment strategies, Maxim E-hailing is providing assistance for new partner-drivers with the PSV (Public Service Vehicle) license. The PSV is a vocational driving license which is required for anyone wanting to drive any type of passenger-carrying e-hailing vehicle.

However, there are those who wish to enter the e-hailing sector but face difficulty in obtaining a PSV license either due to access to the relevant driving schools or financial constraints. As such, Maxim E-hailing is collaborating with various driving schools across Malaysia to facilitate potential new partner-drivers in getting a reserved slot for a PSV license.

In support of new partner-drivers, Maxim E-hailing is also offering reimbursement for the cost of the PSV license to new partner-drivers who join Maxim E-hailing. New partner-drivers are required to bring the necessary receipts to the nearest Maxim E-hailing office where its support staff will assist the partner-drivers to claim the cost of PSV license.

To acquire a PSV license, candidates will have to attend a one day training class. The main purpose of this class is to ensure that the partner-drivers gain more understanding of the traffic rules and the e-hailing industry. Topics covered in this class includes topics related to e-hailing clients, finance, and traffic rules.

A medical check-up is also compulsory for those who want to apply for the PSV license. This is a requirement by the Transport Ministry to ensure that all partner-drivers are in good health to provide the e-hailing service to the public.

In order to apply for the PSV license, the following list of documents are required to be submitted to JPJ (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan / Road Transport Department):

• Original MyKad / passport of applicants or copies if the transaction is done by representatives
• Original Competent Driving License (CDL) – must be valid for more than 1 year
• Medical Check-up report
• 1 color photo (white background) with dimensions of 25 mm x 32 mm
• JPJL8A Form
• JPJL12 Form
• JPJL2C Certificate
