Honda WR-V Launching Next Week; Open For Booking
The all-new Honda WR-V is scheduled for an official launch next week and all authorised Honda dealerships are already accepting bookings for this compact SUV.
The WR-V measures 4,060 mm long, 1,780 mm wide and 1,608 mm tall, on a 2,485 mm wheelbase, offering practicality and easy manoeuvrability in urban settings. Ground clearance for this compact SUV is 207 mm while boot space is about 380 litres. The sleek and sporty exterior look is also enhanced by coupé-style rear door handles, similar to the slightly larger HR-V. 
The Honda WR-V also comes with powered retractable door mirrors, automatic LED headlights and LED daytime running lights (DRL) as well as LED front fog lights and LED sequential turn signals, though it isn’t clear if these will be standard across the range.
Powering the WR-V is a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine which generates 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. Mated with a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) with G-design shift technology, the all-new WR-V promises the perfect balance between fuel economy and driving performance.
In terms of safety, the all-new Honda WR-V is also fitted with a comprehensive suite of Honda SENSING advanced safety technology, consisting of 8 safety functions i.e. Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN); Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS); Forward Collision Warning (FCW); Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS); Road Departure Mitigation (RDM); Lane Departure Warning (LDW); and Auto High Beam (AHB).
It will also make use of Honda LaneWatch, which is a camera-based blind spot monitoring system on the passenger side. Owners can also use Honda CONNECT which allows them to access a variety of functions via their smartphone.
A sportier RS variant is confirmed and this will come with a unique front grille and 17″ 2-tone alloy wheels.
