According to Roslan Roskan, CEO of Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS), the Z900 represents the first Kawasaki bike with a bigger engine to be assembled by MODENAS in its Gurun facility. “I am pleased to note that our plant is capable to assemble and test the Kawasaki motorcycles on site by the trained employees using strict standard operating procedures,” he commented. Furthermore, the final run of engine performance is also completed by the test bench machine in the plant, which is the 1st of such in Southeast Asia. MODENAS wholly owns EMOS, its distribution arm. Kawasaki Z900_Frame

Based on Kawasaki’s latest sugomi design (a crouching stance, low head and upswept tail), the 2023 Kawasaki Z900 and Z900 SE have gained a host of upgrades. This includes a Euro 5-compliant engine, stronger frame, 3-mode Kawasaki Traction Control system, power mode, and new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres. For added convenience, the bikes are also fitted with smartphone connectivity, 4.3″ full colour digital instrumentation.

Additionally, the Z900 SE (special edition) gains a fully adjustable 41 mm Showa fork, with the monoshock upgraded to a shiny gold-coloured S4 Öhlins unit for improved road handling. The higher-specification suspension setup on the Z900 SE promises to offer increased ride comfort and a superior grip and handling. The brake set-up on the Z900 SE is now dual Brembo 4-piston M4.32 callipers and a new Nissin master cylinder. The Z900 SE is powered by the same 948 cc 4-stroke, inline-4 DOHC engine as its stock Z900 sibling. Power output is 92.2 kW (124 hp) @ 9,500 rpm and 98.6 Nm @ 7,700 rpm.

The 2023 Z900 and Z900 SE will be available at all authorised KAWASAKI dealers by the 2nd week of June.
