BMW Malaysia has made available a couple of additions to its ultra-luxurious 7 Series range, with the new BMW 750e xDrive M Sport and BMW 750e xDrive Pure Excellence variants.

The BMW 750e xDrive M Sport and 750e xDrive Pure Excellence essentially share very similar characteristics in terms of power and performance, but with distinct differences in the exterior and interior. Both new variants feature daytime running lights enhanced with the BMW Iconic Glow crystal headlights. When illuminated, it gives off a multi-faceted ambient light reflection and a shimmering display from the
embedded Swarovski crystals. Contour lighting also lends the BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille a stunning
look with LED elements in both night and day.

At the rear, the 7 Series boasts signature L-shaped BMW taillights with a purist design, while the horizontal lines emphasise the vehicle’s width. A washer nozzle for the reverse camera has also been integrated into the BMW logo for a more seamless look. Owners will also get to enjoy up to 575 litres of boot space.

The exclusive horizontal M high-gloss Shadowline and M side sills in high-gloss Black help enhance the appearance of the M Sport variant, along with M front and rear aprons. Furthermore, the LED lighting units are also part of the Great Entrance Moments which is a special light show that welcomes passengers with a carpet of light and activated interior lighting. The extended wheelbase of the 750e also provides more interior space and comfort for its passengers. Owners will also be able to enjoy automatic doors that enable occupants to open and close all doors automatically either via the vehicle key, the Control Display, by voice command or directly via the door itself.

There is a new flat-bottomed 2-spoke steering wheel in the cockpit, though the M Sport variant gets a flat-bottomed 3-spoke unit wrapped in the exclusive M Leather. The Sky Lounge is a panoramic glass roof which provides a clear view of the sky through a laminated glass structure that has UV protection. To provide a more captivating ambience, exclusive light graphics created by side-integrated LED modules illuminate a silk-screened pattern. Rear seat passengers in the M Sport variant will also be able to enjoy the exclusive Executive Lounge Seating feature. The seat and backrest angle can be adjusted individually along with the lumbar support and memory function.

The BMW 750e glides with the help of an in-line 6-cylinder plug-in hybrid engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and an 8-speed Steptronic transmission. The electric motor is fed by a 22.1 kWh battery and power is channeled via the xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system. The combined power output of 489 hp (360 kW) and 700 Nm enables the 7 Series to complete the century sprint in 4.8 seconds. Top speed is limited to 250 km/h.
