Das WeltAuto Opens First Standalone Dealership In Gombak
The first standalone Das WeltAuto (DWA) used car dealership has opened in Gombak, KL. Officially launched by Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM), and its dealer-partner, MHV Autohaus, DWA Gombak is an independent dealership for used and certified used cars.
MHV Autohaus is one of the top Volkswagen dealers in Malaysia and also operate the Volkswagen dealership further down the road from DWA. Notably, MHV Autohaus was Best Volkwagen Dealer of the Year from 2017 to 2020, a recognition for their excellence in the sales and aftersales experience.
Das WeltAuto was launched in Malaysia in 2019. It is Volkswagen’s global used car programme which offers customers certified used cars that are backed by expert know-how, standards and processes. Abroad, Das WeltAuto has won numerous awards for its exemplary used car services, including “Used Car Programme of the Year” by Car Dealer magazine in 2016, “Best Used Car Website” by What Car? in 2019.
DWA accepts all makes and models for trade-in. These vehicles undergo a strict 133-point check which are conducted and verified by Volkwagen technicians. For Volkswagen cars that are traded in to DWA and are within a certain mileage and age i.e. within 7 years, and pass the stringent inspection, they will come with Das WeltAuto certification and assurance. Certified vehicles are fitted with genuine parts and are checked to be accident- and flood-free, and will come with complete proof of service at authorised Volkswagen service centres. This is to give peace of mine to the buyers of these used VW vehicles.
Futhermore, buyers can also take advantage of financing options as well as a 1-year extended warranty and 1-year roadside assistance when purchasing a pre-owned Volkswagen from Das WeltAuto. There will also be pre-owned vehicles from other makes and models available but these will not have the DWA certification, though they also undergo inspection.

For Volkswagen owners who want to sell their cars, they can also do so in the Das WeltAuto website in the ‘Sell Your Car’ section. Additionally, there is a ‘Nearly New Car’ section for buyers looking for certified vehicles that have clocked less than 12,000 km and are within a year of its registration date.
The Das WeltAuto programme is available at 11 Volkswagen dealerships nationwide i.e. Setia Alam, Puchong, Glenmarie, Tebrau, Skudai, Gombak, Juru, Alor Setar, Seremban, Ipoh and Melaka. DWA Gombak represents the first outlet that is separate from the VW dealerships, and VPCM has plans to expand this network.
