BYD Officially Opens 3 3S Centres In Ara Damansara, Glenmarie & Cheras

Sime Darby Motors and BYD have officially opened 3 3S centres in Klang Valley. The 3 outlets are located in Ara Damansara, Glenmarie and Cheras, to provide good accessibility and convenience with regards to sales and aftersales services for BYD customers in the surrounding areas.

The BYD 3S in Ara Damansara is developed by Sime Darby Motors’ subsidiary, Sime Darby Beyond Auto (SDBA). SDBA had invested approximately RM11 million into the new BYD 3S centre which has an approximate built-up area of 19,375 square feet and is equipped with the latest facilities and retail concept that comply with BYD’s brand identity. This facility is manned by 48 employees and has 4 service bays with the capacity to service up to 270 vehicles per month.

A launch ceremony was held recently to officially launch the outlet. Present were Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD and Dato’ Jeffri Salim Davidson, Group Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Berhad. Other executive like Andrew Basham, Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors; Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Retail and Distribution of Sime Darby Motors Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macau; Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division; and Eagle Zhao, Managing Director of BYD Malaysia Sdn Bhd and PT. Meanwhile, the BYD 3S centre in Glenmarie is operated by BYD Sisma Auto. It has a built-up area of 21,527 sq ft and the showroom has a capacity to display up to 9 vehicles. The workshop includes 10 work bays.

The BYD 3S centre in Cheras is run by Millenium Autobeyond. This outlet size is approximately 21,323 sq ft and has a showroom large enough to display up to 4 vehicles. The service centre has 5 bays.

BYD also believes that the opening of these 3 BYD 3S Centres can support the increasing demand for BYD EVs as well as aftersales services within the Klang Valley.

With such encouraging growth, BYD is working towards building more BYD showrooms to cater to the increasing demand and consumer needs especially in the northern and southern regions of Malaysia. By the end of 2023, SDBA expects to further grow its dealer network across the country.
