Carmen Loo, Matrix Concepts Group General Manager of Corporate Secretarial, Governance and Sustainability added, “Our collaboration with Millennium Welt is the perfect fit as we share the same goals for sustainability. The installation of the MINI Charging Facility here at d’Tempat Country Club – which has also received the Gold Green Building Index Certification, is part of our larger vision to promote sustainable transportation and reduce our carbon footprint. The new charging facility from Millennium Welt is also part of BMW Group Malaysia’s strategy to develop the infrastructure needed for the charging of electric vehicles, together with like-minded local partners, dealers and key charging providers.

So far, BMW Group Malaysia has been involved in the establishment of over 670 charging facilities for EV owners, with access to over 360 of these facilities provided through partnerships with ChargEV and Yinson Greentech. The partnership with JomCharge also enables access to over 65 charging facilities, as well as Gentari with approximately 150 facilities. Over 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities are also available at most authorised dealerships, as well as partnering venues across the country, with more to come as part of the strategic infrastructure expansion plan set for the year ahead.
