Modenas Issues Limited Edition Z-Anniversary Box To Celebrate 50 Years Of Kawasaki Z-Series

Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS), the subsidiary of Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS) and  distributor of Kawasaki bikes, has issued the limited edition Z-Anniversary Box (a.k.a. Z-Box) to celebrate the 50-year milestone of the Kawasaki Z-series.

The Z’s history began with the Kawasaki 900 Super4, also known as the Z1, which was showed off to the world in 1972 and won praise. The Z1 was the first in-line four in its class with DOHC, and an unheard of displacement of 903cm³. The “Z” represented ‘the ultimate’ as it embodies many of Kawasaki’s most advanced technologies. The bike design and engine were designed on a very tight schedule by modern standards, which makes it all the more impressive.

The Z models have grown into one of Kawasaki’s core motorcycle brands. Since its beginning 50 years ago, and up to August 2021, a total of 2,571,000 units have been produced worldwide. Although the shape, style and riding environment have evolved over the years, the models crowned with the Z mark continue to establish themselves as icons of performance. With the Z1 and its world-conquering performance leading the way, Kawasaki expanded the Z series to meet a variety of needs.

The Z400 was a sporty commuter with the power characteristics riders expected in a Z machine. In the KZ900LTD, one of the first factory customs, riders could enjoy high performance in high comforts, while the Z500 / Z400FX were middleweight super sport bikes. Soon, there were models for almost every taste and riding style, providing a wider range of riders with exciting performances for which the Z series was famous for.

To commemorate 50 years of the iconic Z brand, EMOS will be presenting the limited edition Z-Box to 300 of its new Modenas Z250 owners. Each Z-Box will contain:
