Sale Of Chery Vehicles Surpasses 1 Million Mark Globally
The Chery Group has already racked up vehicle sales of over 1.1 million globally. Between January and November 2022, Chery sold a total of 1,127,289 vehicles around the world. This marks a 32.6% year-on-year increase, its best sales performance yet. Concurrently, its export sales increased by 70.9% as it expands beyond China. This export figure is also a new record for a Chinese passenger vehicle brand.
Despite facing numerous challenges throughout the year, Chery, which had been China’s top passenger car exporter for 19 consecutive years, broke its own record for the export of Chinese brand passenger vehicles in a single month in succession. It managed to achieve 4 months of exports in excess of 50,000 vehicles. For the month of November, Chery Group’s sales volume reached 100,531 units, making it the 6th consecutive month in which sales exceeded 100,000 units.
These achievements are attributable to the appeal of its current product range. For example, the 7-seater Chery Tiggo 8 Pro is favoured as a reception vehicle for state guests in Brazil. The Tiggo 8 Pro reached sales of 171,000 units this year, while the Tiggo 7 Pro sold 146,000 units, ranking first in its segment in Qatar and other Middle Eastern countries/regions.
Chery currently has over 11.13 million users worldwide, including 2.35 million users outside China. In partnership with more overseas dealers and business partners in the global automotive industry, the company will continue to accelerate its globalisation strategy and build its brand image in many parts of the world. We can expect Chery to make an official introduction in mid-2023.
